Orange Flowering Vines

The vines can be grown on trellises, fences and pergolas, around patios and decks, under trees, and directly on walls. Most of these vines grow well with average soil moisture and partial shade, though some can take full shade or full sun giving the home gardener more options for use in the landscape.
Some of the orange flowering vines are native plants which frequently helps the plant be more insect resistant and salt tolerant and have natural disease resistance. Several striking hybrids have been in the Horticultural trade long enough to be thought of as Old Favorites. Trumpet Vine Hybrid 'Madame Galen' (Campsis x tagliabuana 'Madame Galen') has spectacular blooms, is winter hardy while also prospering in the summer heat of the Southern States. Several others clones are available that widen the bloom color options. Tellman or RedGold Honeysuckle (Lonicera x tellmanniana) has flowers that are the showiest of the vining honeysuckles. The blossoms combine yellow, orange and red that is lovely even from a distance.
As you look at the thumbnail images of the vines that flower orange in this list, you will see that many also have lovely fall or Autumn foliage colors, or beautiful fruits or berries. In addition, many of these vines attract butterflies and birds, particularly Hummingbirds to your home garden.
