  eastern Asia from Japan and Formosa through China and the Himalayas

  Partial/Full sun.
Moderate to dry conditions.

Growth:

  Range: Grows from 15' to 30'.
Dirr says: "typically 20 to 30', spread slightly less or similar; have seen mature trees and most were round headed; in Savannah, GA observed many 40' high, also large (50') specimens at U.S. National Arboretum and North Carolina State University campus."
