	Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Eastern China

Requires full sun.
Moderate to dry conditions.

Growth:
	Range: Grows from 5' to 15'. Dirr says: "Procumbent shrub of semi-evergreen nature, with long, green canes trailing over the ground and rooting; will climb if supported. Probably stays in the 8 to 16' category from a height aspect. Good plant because of its ease of culture and freedom from insects and diseases."

Flowers:
	Color(s): White Season(s): Summer Dirr says: "pure white with rich yellow stamens in the center, fragrant, single, about 2" across, borne in few- to many-flowered pyramidal corymbs in June and July."

Foliage:
	Color: Leaves are dark green in the summer.

Fruit:
	Color: Red Season(s): Fall

Landscape Value:
	Can be used as a specimen plant. Can be used as a grouping plant. Dirr says: "This species makes an excellent ground cover. I have seen it used on highway slopes where it does an excellent job of holding the soil as well as adding a touch of beauty. Has been used in breeding work and is a parent of many of the modern climbers."
