  South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Alabama  

Sun/Water Requirements:

  Partial/Full shade.
Moderate to wet conditions.

Climate / Hardiness Zones:

  Zone 7 to Zone 9

Dirr says: "I consider this species as a genetic resource to breed heat and wel soil tolerance into P. japonica and P. floribunda."

Growth:

  Dirr says: "Grows as a vine with rhizomatous "fingers" that allow it to attach to Baldcypress, Atlantic Whitecedar and Sabal Palmetto, and Pond Cypress. Container-grown plants are rather handsome small shrubs."

Dirr says: "Have observed in flower in February; the 1/3" long, urn-shaped, milk white flowers occur in 3- to 9-flowered racemes from the leaf axils of the shoot ends."
