  Mississippi to Arkansas and Texas

Growth:

  Range: Grows from 50' to 100'.
Dirr says: "makes a large 50 to 70' high, 40 to 60' wide tree of oval-round outline."

Dirr says: "The tree may have possibilities for use from Zone 7 to 9 for it withstands drought and heavy, infertile soils. It is probably not preferable to U. parvifolia (Chinese or Lacebark Elm) but does offer a useful alternative. Used as a street and shade tree throughout the Southwest."
