  southeastern Europe, Asia Minor

  Partial/Full sun.
Moderate climate.
Dirr says: "does best in poor sandy soil"

Dirr says: "The tops of the plant often winter-kill in severe cold but since it flowers on new wood little damage is done."

Growth:

  Range: Grows to 3'.
Dirr says: "quite stoloniferous and can prove invasive under proper cultural conditions. Makes a handsome groundcover plant as it grows fast and effectively covers an area in a short time. 12 to 18" high and spreading 18 to 24"."
